Stops vehicles.
Not people.

When the AI scores a vehicle threat above your threshold, the bollard rises automatically — in under three seconds. Triple-redundant safety systems ensure a pedestrian is never at risk. RMADOR is the only AI security platform that physically controls vehicle barriers — Verkada, Avigilon, and Eagle Eye stop at alerts. RMADOR stops the vehicle.

Crash ratings

RMADOR bollards are available in three internationally certified crash ratings. The right rating depends on your site's traffic exposure and threat level — our security engineers will specify this during your consultation.

K12 / M50

Maximum Protection

Rated to 80 km/h

Stops the heaviest vehicles at high speed. Specified for embassies, critical infrastructure, and the most exposed public spaces.

K8 / M40

High-Security

Rated to 64 km/h

The standard for most enterprise and government sites requiring certified vehicle mitigation.

K4 / M30

Standard Perimeter

Rated to 48 km/h

Appropriate for commercial perimeters, car parks, and sites where vehicle intrusion is a risk but not a primary threat vector.

How a manual raise works

Automatic raises are triggered by the AI when the threat score exceeds your configured threshold. Manual raises — initiated by an operator — follow these four steps.

01

Supervisor authorisation

A manual raise requires a supervisor account. The system issues a short-lived authorisation token that expires in seconds — preventing replay attacks.

02

AI zone verification

The camera feed and sensor array confirm the zone is clear of pedestrians. This check completes in under one second. If the zone isn't clear, the raise is cancelled.

03

Command issued and confirmed

The raise command is transmitted to the actuator with cryptographic signing. The bollard controller confirms execution back to the platform.

04

Logged and timestamped

Every raise — whether manual or automatic — is recorded with a full sensor snapshot, the authorising user, and the reason. This record cannot be edited or deleted.

Lowering requires no steps. Any authenticated user — including emergency services — can lower at any time.

Safety you can stake a certification on

UL 325 certification requires passing a comprehensive safety failure mode analysis. These are the principles that define how our bollard system behaves when things go wrong.

Triple-redundant safe zone

Before a bollard can rise, three independent systems must confirm the zone is clear: an infrared array, a pressure-sensitive ground mat, and the AI camera feed. Any single system saying no stops the raise immediately. No software override exists.

Pedestrian confirmed before every raise

The AI verifies the clear zone in under a second before every raise command. If confirmation doesn't arrive in time, the raise is cancelled automatically and logged.

Emergency lower is always available

Any authenticated user can lower any bollard, at any time, with no additional steps. Emergency services access is never blocked. Lowering has no restrictions.

Fire panel interlock

A fire alarm alone cannot trigger an automatic lower — two independent fire signals or a confirmed operator action are required. This prevents a single alarm from being exploited to clear a path.

Every action, permanently recorded

Every bollard state change — automatic or manual — is written to an immutable audit log the moment it happens. This record includes who authorised the action, the full sensor state at that moment, and a timestamped evidence clip. The log cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including RMADOR administrators. Records are retained for seven years.
